Today was a beautiful weather! It was a perfect day to install an awesome court! We have to go back to paint the lines and install 10 x 15 rebouncer later this week! The customer was very nice ordering the pizzas and sodas for us even he went to pick up the pizzas for us while we were installing the court! I also wanted to thank them for throwing out the cardboard boxes for us! Great Family! Thank you for the help Mike! Looking forward to finish the court for your family to play on!

World Basketball Festival in Springfield, MA

There was a World Basketball Festival in Springfield MA over the summer. Nike sponsored the event and picked SnapSports sports flooring over the other competitors for one of their biggest outdoor basketball events! They were very impressed with the indoor maple bouncback flooring for their event. Everything went smooth and we were lucky the weather did hold up because we had some showers in the afternoon then the sun came! We met a lot of people and fans during the events. The fans enjoyed the atmosphere and event as well! We are looking forward to hearing from them in near future! I would like to thank Len Frig who works for SnapSports and his crew for setting up the floor for the event! Please check the pictures below!

It is a beautiful court build by SnapSports NorthEast crew. Parents of Matthew McIntyre donated the money for this basketball court for Boys Town of New England. They are very impressed and happy with the basketball court especially they love the way the centered logo looks! SnapSports NorthEast crew installed 40 by 70 court in this heat 95 degree weather yesterday! We are almost finished. We need to install netting, logos and painting the basketball lines. Boys Town staff are very happy the way court is looking so far! They are getting very excited. They will have media, tv news, and editors from several newspapers once the court is done. It is going to be a great exposure for my business!

I am so exciting and boystown of new england will have their new court being on TV Local News and newspaper as well once it is completely installed... This court was one of my favorites because I love going to their town named Little Compton, RI. Little Compton is a gem of Cape Cod! It is so beautiful and peaceful! I painted the lines during the HEATWAVE! It was about 100 degrees out there when I painted the lines.. Nothing can stop me or SnapSports NorthEast Crew because I wanted to show them I provide great customer services no matter what! :-) They had their 4th of July party about over 75 people and saying that their court was a BIG HIT! Looks like I will get good networking from them! Please check the pictures below of their new 30 x 50 court. The court has a Boston Celtics logo on their key! Beautiful logo? They have a son named Jake and he loves his new court! Enjoy your new toy Jake! :-)

When I first saw the court, my first reaction was "WOWOWOWOW" I was in love with their court when I first saw it after they upgraded their new court with 3 steps retaining walls!!!! It looks beautiful. I have to say this is the best landscaping I have seen since I have been in this business for 5 years. Nice job Todd! 24 x 26 Shooting Court (West Hartford, CT)

This was the first court I build with compacted stone & stonedust base instead of concrete base. I was very impressed it works very well especially with the ball bounce and the feel of duracourt tiles on top of compacted stone & stonedust base! My son and their son had a ball playing with each other on the court once it was finished installed. The court has a jumpman court in their key. I will go back and paint the lines next week. They love their new court and enjoy your new court Steve for the rest of your summer!

We installed 30 x 36 Backyard Basketball court with Boston Celtics logo over the Memorial Day weekend! We finished the court in 1 day yesterday! We started from 8 30 am and finished at 7 30 pm. It was 95 degrees. I would like to say many thanks to my SnapSports NorthEast crew for their hard work especially with the heat!!! I would like to thank my customer, Junito for helping us installing his new court! He had a great time working with us! That was very cool for him to help us!!

Junito and I grew up together in Wethersfield.. We graduated together from Wethersfield High School in 1991. I am very excited to see his family to use their new court. His kids are going to enjoy every minute of it! Also a lot of cars and people would be driving pass the court which should expand my business. I am pretty sure I would get some calls from his neighborhood area very soon! Right Junito? :-)

The customer has their portable driveway hoop on their new SnapSports court for now because their boys cant wait for few more days so we installed the portable hoop for them to play on their court now :-)

We are off to a great start! We sold 4 courts and 1 hoop in 1.5 months! It is only April! We are very exciting to meet our goals this year! But more importantly I rather see the kids smiles everytime we finish installed their courts for them to play on! That is the best part of my job!

We sold 2 commerical jobs and 2 residential courts so far. One customer just purchased a hoop and is working on getting tiles for his court.

A special night my son, Daron will never the day with Charlie Bell Milwaukee Bucks Point Guard

Charlie Bell, Milwaukee Bucks Point Guard and I kept in touch via Twitter for almost a year. We have became friends and played on Xbox LIVE few times playing Madden! Charlie gave my son and I free tickets and passes to watch him play against the New York Knicks at the Garden last night... After the game, we waited for Charlie Bell to get out of locker room. He went up immediately to my son Daron and gave him his game day sneakers that he wore last night with his signature on em. Daron had a HUGE smile and didnt know what to say to Charlie! I told Daron, "You need to say something back to Charlie" Then Daron was shy and said, "Thank you Charlie" Charlie introduced me to his wife, Kenya. Kenya is a beautiful lady! Charlie is a great gentlemen and we had a nice time chatting. We wished we stay longer to chat more with him and his wife but we had to go because it was 3 hours drive to get back home during the snow! Charlie is hoping to see us again when his team plays against the Celtics in Boston on April. We will be there Charlie! Maybe we can get something to eat after the game since we dont live far away from Boston! By the way Charlie may be interested having me to build his backyard court this summer. For sure I would bring Daron with me so he could beat Charlie one on one on his new court!!! ;-) For sure I am going to build him a UConn Court!!! Just Kidding Charlie ;-) I know he would want a Michigan State Spartans Court in his backyard!!! Thanks Charlie for everything and you made my son a very happy boy! He talked all day about your sneakers and meeting you last night! Thanks again!!!

Today was one of my best memories playing with my 2 sons, Daron and Jaxon on our backyard basketball court today!!! Daron is 7 and Jaxon is 4. We had a ball and of course I was a little tired after we played because I had to shovel the court all myself!!!!!!! Enjoy the pictures!!!

Daron's Basketball Team Updates: He is currently playing 3 Basketball teams this season.. He plays for St Bernard 5th/6th Grade Travel Team as Back Up Point Guard and Shooting Guard, NorthWest Boys and Girls Club (Hartford, CT) Starting Shooting Guard and Enfield 1st/2nd Grade Youth Basketball League Starting Point Guard! He recently tried out for AAU team, Middlesex Magic (located near Boston, MA) Under 10 and coaches would like him to be a Point Guard. He is going to try out for one more AAU team in Springfield Ma before we make our decision which team Daron wants to play for during AAU Spring Season!

It is very exciting news for SnapSports NorthEast! YMCA picked SnapSports NorthEast to install Oak tiles for their Aerobic room. (41 x 41) I cannot wait to hear from YMCA members once we install the flooring on December 19th! Everyone is going to be happy that they chose to use our tiles!

Hockey Floors in the basement! (Barrington, RI)

Michael Dolan did some researching for his son to play hockey in their basement. Michael spoke to few competitors but was not impressed with their tiles. He felt in love after he saw SnapSports indoor tiles he was looking for. He immediately purchased Classic XL tiles on our first appointment and I promised him that I would install the flooring before 1st weekend of November. We got the job done in time! He and his son loved it!

Beautiful 30 x 60 UNC Basketball Court (North Kingstown, RI)

My crew and I finished installing a beautiful 30 x 60 UNC Court few weeks ago.. The Pelletiers have a nice court package which includes UNC logo, 10 x 15 rebounder, multi purpose net, and double lightening. Their 2 boys love the court. The boys always use their court all day playing basketball and soccer especially 10 x 15 rebounder while their father is busy getting their new house ready before they move in December.

I am looking forward seeing the Pelletiers again when we go to Rhode Island to visit our parents in law where they live in Pawtucket, RI. I know my kids would love to play on their court with their 2 boys!

It was a long weekend installing this beautiful UConn Multi Purpose Court. The Deaf Family purchased this court. They were the first Deaf Family to buy SnapSports Court in the USA! Congrats to the Gould's family! They love the court! They can not wait to show the court to their friends and families for their daughter s birthday party this weekend!

I would like to say many thanks to my crew (David and Garfield) for their hard work and making this beautiful court as well! Also I would like to say many thanks to the Gould's family for providing us Sweet Iced Tea drinks the whole weekend! Hopefully our next court project we would get some more Lipton sweetened iced tea to drink! :-)

I build this 30 x 50 Court last year in Cape Cod! This morning, my wife and I stopped by to say hey to our customer, Alan before we went home to Connecticut. Alan or his family was not home. We were bummed because we hoped to surprise them. I took a picture of this beautiful 30 x 50 Court in his backyard this morning. It still looks great! Excavator showed, but did not work on court area. Hopefully this week. I chose you because you took the time to explain the differences between court tiles of different companies. Shocktower seems to be the best product from what I have seen. You also keep in touch with me over a 2 month decision process without being a salesman. Mike's New House being build....

That is where 30 x 60 court will be located in their backyard. Rocks will be placed around the court. It will be a beautiful landscape!

I am pleased to say that Mike Pelletier purchased 30 x 60 Multi Game Court today. I first met Mike for our first appointment 2 months ago. Mike did some shopping talking to few competitors. Mike loves my customer service the way I can be reached if he has any questions. He wanted the best product in the market which is Bounceback Shocktower tiles. I kept in touch with Mike time to time to see how he was doing. He asked me if he could see me again this week so I went to see him today. I gave him a great deal so he signed today. He will be getting UNC court! Dark Blue, Sky Blue and Grey colors on his court including UNC logo! Wish it was a UConn court instead of UNC court. Sorry Mike :-)

His house is being build and will be ready in few months.. His goal was to get a court ready and fresh at the same time once the house is done. Now, he got it! :-)

Updates with my other courts: Greg Gould's 30 x 50 Court will be installed hopefully next weekend because he is having retaining wall installed this week. Greg cant not wait for UCONN logo to be installed on his court!

6'7" SnapSports NorthEast President, Craig Bryden busy painting! I know I shouldnt be painting but I LOVE to paint. It is my passion! That is why I love my job!

Done! Well not really because bounceback shocktower tiles will be on the court in Late September!

This customer named Thomas found my SnapSports postcard in his mailbox one weekend when I was in RI for one of my son s AAU Basketball tournament in Portsmouth, RI. He called the day after receiving my postcard. We met at his pizza restaurant for an appointment. He was very interested getting a court in possible in Sept but wanted me to paint 3 point lines on his existing blacktop court first. The rain kept us off the court for few weeks. Finally today I called Thomas to see if he was ready for me to come to paint the lines? We came and painted the lines and Thomas liked it very much the way I did with 3 point lines. Thomas asked us to come to his restaurant for dinner after we were done. We had pizza and the pizzas were great! Thomas told me that he wanted me to stop by again in September because he is ready to deposit to get bounceback shocktower tiles for his existing blacktop court!!! I cant wait to go back for more pizza! Of course I am looking forward installing his court soon! Oh yea Thomas gave me permission to leave my SnapSports post cards on the counter for his customers to take!

Gregory Gould's Court is getting there! My concrete contractor, Steve did a great job. He did every thing what Town of Windsor told him in order for Gould to get a court for his backyard. He removed 3 stumps and poured a really nice concrete pad! He added sleeves for ball containment fencing/10 x 15 rebouncer and hoop anchor as well. Greg Gould will be adding retaining wall on the back of the court because of the deep slope in his backyard. We should be installing the Bounceback Shocktower tiles and hoop hopefully this weekend if not then next weekend. Also the court will have UConn Logo in the key area! They are big UConn fan like I am!

I wanted to say big CONGRATULATIONS to Gregory & Diane Gould. They bought 30 x 50 Court with Ball Containment fencing with rebouncer. They will have UConn Huskies logo on their court. They are very exciting about getting a court for their family and friends to use. They have 2 children, Douglas 6, and Nicole 2.

They are the first deaf customers to purchase SnapSports court! SnapSports never had a deaf customer to purchase their court.. I was able to communicate with them using American Sign Language. They felt comfortable with me and I helped them with their court planning especially I helped interpret for Gregory when he had some questions with the tree removal guy.

After Gregory signed the contract, I took him and his son out to Pizza restuarant for dinner! It was a fun day! Right Gregory? :-)

We will install their court in mid July. We will take a picture of the whole family on their court when it is finished and post the picture in this blog.. Stay tuned...

SO who is next????? You better make court appointments with me soon before I get booked in july and august! It takes 3 to 4 weeks to get a court build...

Peter Lynch will play for Middlebury College next year!

I received an e mail from Peter Lynch's mother, Carla this morning. Carla and Kevin Lynch are very exciting about Peter playing for Middlebury College next year. Middlebury College is NCAA Division 3 college located in Middlebury, Vermont.

I remembered Peter clearly when I went to Lynch's house for court estimate appointment 3 years ago. He was a really tall kid! He was an easy going kid. I knew he had the talent when he played against me one on one on their court! He was tough to beat!

As noted in the Newenglandrecruitingreport.com, Middlebury College has added Peter Lynch to the fold for next year. Lynch is a do it all type of role playing forward in the mold of the Boston Celtics’ Brian Scalabrine. He’s a physical interior presence, an extremely hard worker on both ends of the floor, and someone who doesn’t need a lot of shots to impact the game. Simply said, he’s the kid of guy who helps his team win.

Daron Bryden # 11 Point Guard/Shooting Guard for AAU 4th Grade Middlesex Magic.

Hello friends,

My oldest son Daron who just turned 7 last month is already a good basketball player... I hate to brag but when he played for East Windsor 1st Grade League. He was the best player in the league averaging over 18 points. Even the director of the league went up to me and said that he should be playing in 2nd/3rd grade league even he is in first grade. A lot of parents thought Daron was not 1st grade because of his skills. They moved him to 2nd/3rd grade league.

Daron is currently playing for Under 10 4th grade AAU Middlesex Magic team near Boston, Ma. He is the ONLY 1st Grader on the team. Middlesex Magic Director said it is hard for first grader to play for 4th grade AAU team. I am so proud of him! He plays with Eddie House's son. Eddie House plays for Boston Celtics! The practice is every Friday and Sunday. The ride to practice weekly is very tough but I kept saying to myself that it is worth the experience for my son to play with bigger and better players. The drive is 1 hour 20 minutes each way! Daron never complained about the long drives. He is having a ball and loves to be with good players. Every friday when I get home from work, he is all ready to go to practice with his practice jersey on!!!

He is improving, getting stronger and gaining more confidence. He speaks up during the game. He was very bashful in the beginning. I am really proud of him!!! He has matured a lot the last 2 months when he joined the AAU team in Feb. Daron is going to have a busy summer playing two basketball leagues (Hartford, CT and Wilbraham, MA) then Starts football in August! I am looking forward teaching my next son Jaxon and daughter, Mikaela how to play basketball soon!

Tips how to get your children to be good at basketball:

1) Get a SnapSports Court for your backyard for your children to play. Court sizes do not matter. Even 20 by 20 Court is still good enough! Daron has 26 x 36 Court in his backyard.

2) Teach and coach your children how to shoot and dribble. If you do not know how to coach basketball, feel free to ask me. I have experiences coaching basketball for 6 years so far.

3) Spend a lot of time playing with your children on your SnapSports Court! Also make sure you tease and play around with your children so they would enjoy basketball a lot!

4) Get your children in K/1st grade league to get started if possible.. Have your kid try out for AAU team if you think he or she would be good enough physically. Tip: Daron was ready physically with bigger kids because he played football with full pads last year which helped him!

We just finished installed 30 by 34 SnapSports Court with Ball Containment Fencing around the court. The customer loved the court. The kids played all day when it was done! I ended up playing hoop with the customer s daughter. I was helping her how to shoot the right way. We enjoyed playing together a lot!

When I first felt the tiles, my reaction was WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It felt so good when I felt the tile. It has a lot of cushion. It feels like you are REALLY in the gym! I am not kidding. You have to SEE the best tile in the industry.. My kids enjoyed jumping on the Shocktower tiles! You could see that the tiles helped my kids jump HIGHER!!! ;-) They asked me to buy one for our backyard court. I told them I will once we move to a new house in few years!

SnapSports won the first round for Nets March Madness Tournament

SnapSports Team went to participated New Jersey Nets March Madness Tournament today. We advanced to the 2nd Round on Sunday but my two friends and myself could not make it due to other plans and work. Thomas Petersen, Tri State Dealer and myself created a great team. We upset great team with few NCAA Division 1 players. I had to play defense against 7 footer from Iona College (NCAA Division 1). I even won the jump ball and made a shot over his long arm when he tried to block my shot. It was a great experience for me to test against NCAA Division 1 players. I ended up scoring 8 points which we won 24-17. We only play two halves 10 minutes each. It was a great day playing on the New Jersey Nets Practice Facility Court where the Nets players practice everyday! Anyone want to TRY playing One on One with me? :-)

I would like to make a special announcement. I am very exciting to be with SnapSports after working with Rhino Sports for 3 years. I met Dan Wollman (Vice President of SnapSports) for an interview at UNO's 2 months ago. After the interview, I felt very comfortable with him and decided right away that I wanted to be with SnapSports! Rhino was very disappointed to see me leave. Rhino products are excellent and of great quality yet pricey for most consumers. Rhino Western Massachusetts territory is not giving me much of an opportunity to expand my business. Finally we installed another beautiful Rhino Court in New York about 35 miles northeast of Albany. Norman loves his new court and he was very impressive the way court was installed. He is a roofing contractor. He will be spreading the words about Rhino Court.

Norman have 2 boys. His oldest son plays for AAU basketball. His other son is only 1 year old.

New Rhino Owner, Ron has a beautiful Rhino Court in his backyard in Easthampton, Ma. Ron is a basketball official for high school and college games. He loves to play basketball. He decided to get a Rhino Court so he could play hoop with his 2 daughters. His daughters had a big smile on their face when they first saw their new Rhino Court!!

Ron and I exchanged e mails since February. He was debating whether or not to get a basketball court in his backyard. After he saw my Rhino Court in my backyard and my presentation with power point explaining to him how having Rhino Court would benefit for his family to use, he was inspired after seeing my court pictures and presentation! He was very impressed with my customer service especially how quick I reply with his e mails. Then he decided to purchase Rhino Court over other sports flooring companies.

Ron is looking forward playing R-H-I-N-O against me on his home court after he went 1-1 against me on my home court. I have to admit that I let him win his first R-H-I-N-O so he could feel good about himself ;-)

New Court! (East Longmeadow, MA)

Beautiful 30 x 35 Multi - Purpose Rhino Court was installed last weekend. Charles, Laureen and their daughters love their new Rhino Court. Their daughters have been playing non stop since last weekend. They play volleyball, badminton, basketball and tennis.

Charles and Laureen first found out about Rhino Court when my family passed out the flyers in their neighborhood. They called me the next day for a court estimate appointment. They felt in love with the courts pictures that I installed the last 2 years. They decided to buy Rhino Court right away.

I really enjoyed installing their court. Very nice family! They are only 15 minutes away from me. It s nice that I finally installed a Rhino Court close to my hometown. One day, I will stop by to play R-H-I-N-O instead of H-O-R-S-E with my 6 year old son, Daron. So be ready for us Charles and Laureen! ;-)

New Court by the Lake!!!

Rhino Crew (David, Travis, Ian and myself) survived while installing 30 by 42 Court in 100 degree weather last Sunday. Janet and her husband, Bill provided us with plenty of water all day which we were very thankful!

Janet and Bill shopped around looking for the best court for their sons to play on for few months. At first, they were not sure getting a Rhino Court because it was a little more expensive than the other sports flooring companies. I explained every details why Rhino Court would be the best court for their sons to play on. They were thinking of getting other court and even saw the court on the site which they mentioned they felt in love with the court that was a little cheaper than Rhino. I convinced them to check my Rhino Court before they made their decision. They came to see my court and loved what they saw as well! One week later, they decided to purchase Rhino Court because they love our qualities and my customer service.

Janet, Bill and their sons are Celtics fans. Janet also coach basketball. They have two young sons and their oldest son has one of the best shooting form I ever witnessed when he play some hoops on my Rhino Court with my oldest son, Daron. Daron is looking forward seeing him again when we have a Rhino Court party in few weeks at her court!!

Beautiful Court in Galway, NY!!!

We just finished installing 28 by 36 Court for Mark, his wife and 2 two beautiful daughters. We installed the court last Saturday but we had to wait to paint because we had a big thunderstorm coming late evening. We completed the painting this morning which came out beautiful! The court was installed by our experience rhino crew, David "Big Guy" Biskupiak, Travis "TSparky" Brougham and myself. Okay Ill let you all know my nickname which is "VisorMan" Dont ask me why.. Long story :-) I would like to mention many thanks to my concrete contractor, Steve from Middleburgh, NY for his hard work!

One of Mark's daughters plays AAU basketball. We are all confident that she will improve every day by using her new rhino court. Maybe we will see her play at UConn instead of University of Tennessee! ;-)

Just wanted to show you a surprise news! I am number 46 best Madden Baller in the world! It is a honor to make the top 50 even I dont play the game too much because I am too busy seeing my customers or building rhino courts!!! I play Madden on Xbox 360 once or two times a week if i get lucky! I guess I am natural playing the game. There is a rumor that ESPN may pick me to play on Madden Nation TV Show on ESPN in August! I flew to Arizona for Rhino Training Camp recently. It was great to see my mentor, rhino staff and friends! Almost all the dealers in the USA attended the training camp. We are very exciting about this year because Rhino announced few new products!!! I am so motivate and exciting to build more new courts for my customers this year!

During the training camp, we had award night. I won the 2007 Mr Spirit Award! I was very delighted to received the award from Rhino CEO, Mr John Shaffer. They were impressed with my motivation, and confidence. They spoke how they really admire me what I did, I saw UMass Basketball Head Coach, Travis Ford playing with his kids on his front yard on the way home after visiting one of my customers appointment. I pulled over, and went up to introduce myself to Mr Ford. He was very impressed what I am doing for living. It went great! I was told that he is seriously thinking about getting Rhino Court soon for his kids to play on!!!

ASD Boys Basketball team finished 3-14 for the season..

2007-2008 ASD Boys Varsity Basketball Team

ASD All Star Players

Our Boys basketball team ended last weekend. We had a ESDAA Basketball tournament last weekend and lost a heart breaking game at the buzzer. Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf hit a miracle 3 point shot to beat my boys. Final score: 47-44. We led the whole game and was up by 12 points with 4 minutes left. My boys panic as they tried to control the clock and missed 4 wide open lay ups the last 2 minutes. It was the toughest loss for me during my 7 years coaching experience. Good News, ESDAA (Eastern School for the Deaf Athletic Association) teams voted my boys as number 4 seed out of 8 teams for next year ESDAA tournament. We should have a good year next year because we will have 7 seniors and they are used to my system now.

Great Northeast Home Show (Albany, NY)

We had a great home show. Over 100 people stopped by. They enjoyed hearing how wonderful rhino courts would benefit their kids, family activities and home investment! My ASD Boys Varsity Basketball Updates....

I am back coaching again after being away from coaching for 3 years. It was unexpected plan for me to be coaching this year. American School for the Deaf where I work asked me if I could coach the Boys team this season because they knew I had 6 years of coaching experiences (3 years at Governor Baxter School for the Deaf, Falmouth, ME and 3 years at Newington High School Girls JV Basketball Team) I decided to go back coaching for few more years because I would like my kids to see their Daddy hollering on the sidelines ;-)

We are a very young team with no seniors. They had 2 star seniors last year that avg total 40 points together. We have a lot of sophmores and juniors. Our record is 1-3. This Thursday our team are flying to Kentucky for Kentucky Classic Deaf Basketball Tournament. We will be staying for 4 days so the team are really excited about it.

I will post pictures when I get back from Kentucky and post it here for my monthly newsletter!

We also have a game in Framingham, MA and Providence, RI this month so please contact me if you would like to see my team play! It would be great to see you!

Rhino Sports of Western Mass Home Shows

I will be displaying my rhino sports business at 2 home shows this winter/early spring. I will be at Albany, NY (Great Northeast Home Show on February 8-10) and Springfield, Ma (The "Original" Western Massachusetts Home Show on March 27-30) This is my second year doing the home shows.
